Product design
Product design from the initial idea to the finished product, individual and tailor-made. No matter whether start-up, medium-sized company or corporate group – together we will find the optimal solution for your needs.
It does not matter whether it is a consumer or a capital good. The design process is always identical and ensures optimal comprehensibility of the results.
Good design not only promotes branding and recognizability, but often lowers production costs, increases the functionality of the product and leads to a higher willingness to pay more for the product. This applies equally to consumer and capital goods.
Packaging design
Packaging design here stands for the three-dimensional design of packaging such as bottles, flacons, folding boxes etc. Together with reliable specialists from the network, not only the design is created, but also dummies and design models that can hardly be distinguished from the later series product.
Design thinking, workshops, keynote speeches, potential analysis, training courses
I offer different entry points into the topic of product design for companies, institutions and interested non-professionals
For example, find an individually tailored introduction to the topic of strategic product design with the Industrial Design Potential Analysis (IDPA). The IDPA is divided into 3 phases. During the kick-off workshop, your individual focal points are identified, the content and scope of the potential analysis is determined and both the timing and the communication channels are fixed. Phase 2 includes an analysis of the current situation, an examination of the competition and research into relevant trends and developments. The third phase concludes with the development of strategies and measures.
Based on many years of experience as a product designer and lecturer, I offer workshops, lectures and further training on various design-related topics such as design thinking, corporate industrial design, packaging design and rapid prototyping/3D printing.
Visualization
Visualizations are part of any product design process to illustrate concepts and ideas. However, I also offer visualizations independently as a separate service, for example for marketing purposes, for patent applications or for building applications.
Feel free to contact me. We will find the right technique and visual language for your needs.
Prototyping
In technology, a prototype (Greek protos, ‘the first’ and typos, ‘archetype, model’) is a test model of a planned product or component that is functional for the respective purpose, but often also simplified. It can correspond to the final product only externally or also technically. A prototype often serves as a preparation for series production, but can also be planned as a single piece that is only intended to illustrate a certain concept. The prototype is used to test the suitability on the one hand and the acceptance on the other. Accordingly, the prototype is also an essential development step in the context of design and is not only used in technical contexts. (Wikipedia)
No matter if you need a HTML dummy for a user interface, traditional design model making or printed prototypes, everything is possible. In the FDM process, for example, I can create initial samples on the 3D printer quickly and inexpensively in my own model-making workshop. For more complex prototypes, I have built up a good and reliable network of specialists who cover almost all materials and manufacturing processes.
